When she fails to make it into New York’s prestigious American Ballet Academy, self-taught Detroit native Kate Parker (Rachele Brooke Smith) begins to question whether she has what it takes to make in the ultracompetitive dance world. But with the help of former hockey player Tommy Anderson (Kenny Wormald) and a little hip-hop inspiration, Kate realizes that she’s not ready to give up her lifelong dream.
